Consumers report that the sensors will erroneously register that the laptop lid is closed even when it is in active use. When the sensor misfires, the laptop abruptly forces itself into sleep mode and cannot be immediately powered back on. Users are forced into a frustrating cycle of waiting for the device to completely cool down before performing a hard reset, only for the issue to repeatedly occur.
