C&T is investigating reports of a potential defect in the door lock cylinder of certain model years of the Honda Fit. This investigation relates to non-keyless entry vehicles.
Reports indicate that owners and lessees of Honda Fits experience door lock failure in keyless entry models ranging across multiple model years. The defect specifically causes the lock cylinder to break, fail to engage, or otherwise fail. As a result, vehicle owners and lessees are often unable to enter affected vehicles through the driver door. This defect reportedly often occurs outside of warranty, leaving consumers to pay for service and/or replacement.
