Great Plains Regional Medical Center Data Breach – Class Action Investigation

What Happened at Great Plains?
On or around September 8, 2024, Great Plains discovered that an unauthorized user had gained access to its system. In response, the Company hired a third-party cybersecurity forensics agency to conduct a thorough investigation and ascertain the scope of the potential data security incident. Investigation confirmed that the unauthorized user accessed Great Plain’s computer system resulting in the compromise of personally identifying data belonging to an estimated 133,1459 individuals.
The information compromised may have included, but not limited to the following: name, social security number, driver’s license number, clinical treatment information such as diagnosis and medication information, demographic information, and health insurance information.
