Generac Guardian Series Generator Defect –Class Action Investigation

Generac Guardian Series Generator Defect –Class Action Investigation

C&T is investigating a potential class action lawsuit against Generac relating to consumer reports that Generac’s Guardian Series generators were defectively designed causing oil leaks and premature engine failure. Reports indicate that Generac failed to let customers know of this problem while the units were still within the product warranty period of at least two years, despite that Generac had knowledge of the issue. As a result, consumers are reportedly forced to pay large sums of money out of pocket to replace the generator motor. Generac’s alleged defectively designed Guardian Series line of generators and Generac’s conduct in failing to notify consumers of this issue within the warranty period may be actionable, including but not limited to under state and federal consumer protection laws.
