First Citizens Bank Account Access Denial/Lockout – Class Action Investigation
First Citizens Bank Account Access Denial/Lockout – Class Action Investigation
Chimicles Schwartz Kriner & Donaldson-Smith (CSK&D) is investigating reports that consumers may have experienced or are experiencing the inability to access their online bank accounts with First Citizens Bank. Reports suggest that in transitioning to a new digital banking platform, Raleigh-based First Citizens Bank has acknowledged technical difficulties that have resulted in some customers being completely frozen or locked out of access to their online bank accounts. A First Citizens spokesperson has said that the bank cannot offer a time frame as to when the technical difficulties will be resolved. It is also reported that customers of the bank are experiencing difficulty reaching the customer service department over the telephone.
Online bank account freeze- or lock-outs are particularly problematic for consumers who rely on access to their accounts for everyday use, such as for bill payments. If you have experienced periods of no access with respect to your online First Citizens Bank account, please contact the lawyers listed below to discuss this potential lawsuit.
