Experian/T-Mobile Data Breach

Chimicles & Tikellis is investigating a potential class action lawsuit against Experian related to a massive data breach announced in October 2015. Specifically, reports indicate that hackers acquired records of nearly 15 million T-Mobile customers and people who had applied for credit through the credit reporting agency Experian, one of the three largest in the United States. The breach is reported to affect two years worth of records from September 2013 through September 2015, according to Experian. The compromised information includes customers’ names, addresses and birth dates as well as encrypted fields with Social Security number and ID number, which could be a driver’s license or passport number.
