Duncan Hines Simple Mornings Blueberry Muffin Mix False Labeling – Class Action Investigation

Duncan Hines Simple Mornings Blueberry Muffin Mix False Labeling – Class Action Investigation

C&T is investigating a potential class action against Pinnacle Foods Group LLC – the maker of Duncan Hines products – following reports that its Duncan Hines Simple Mornings blueberry muffin mix is advertised as containing “nothing artificial” when, in fact, it contains a number of synthetic or artificial ingredients. Specifically, C&T is investigating reports that this product contains monocalcium phosphate (a synthetic salt), xanthan gum (an additive used as a thickening agent), and soy lecithin (GMO), among other ingredients. Pinnacle Foods Group’s representations that its product contains “nothing artificial” may be in violation of state and federal consumer protection laws.
