DirecTV Channel Blackouts and Removals – Class Action Investigation

DirecTV Channel Blackouts and Removals – Class Action Investigation

Chimicles and Tikellis LLP is investigating a potential class action lawsuit against satellite television service provider and broadcaster DirecTV amidst reports that many customers are not receiving certain television channels due to negotiations and disputes between DirecTV and television networks/providers. Many customers currently see a black screen on the desired station informing that the channel they seek to watch has been removed from the DirecTV line-up. Consumers report that upon calling to complaint to DirecTV, DirecTV often refers them to their service agreement and informs that DirecTV can do nothing about the channel removal. Consumers pay large amounts of money to have access to certain channels or television packages, and it is being reported that DirecTV is refusing to refund payments or reduce its service costs.
