Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) Data Breach – Class Action Investigation

Chimicles Schwartz Kriner & Donaldson-Smith LLP is investigating a potential data breach class action lawsuit relating to recent news that the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA), a Department of Defense agency, had its computer systems hacked. As a government agency, DISA oversees military communications and is also responsible for military cyber-security.

According to breach notification letters sent last week, the security incident took place between May and July 2019, when a DISA system may have been compromised. The compromised information included names and Social Security numbers. Early reports indicate that the exposure may include the personal data of approximately 200,000 people, including 8,000 government employees.

If you received a letter from DISA  or otherwise believe your personal information was compromised by this recent data breach, please contact the lawyers listed on this page.
