Defective Canon Printers – Class Action Lawsuit

The defective printers include, but are not limited to, these models (the “Printers”).

Chimicles & Tikellis filed a putative class action lawsuit in the Eastern District of New York on July 10, 2014 on behalf of consumers who purchased certain printers manufactured and distributed by Canon.

It is alleged that the defect in the Printers cause them to display the following error message after limited use: U052 Wrong Printhead Error.  Once the defect manifests itself, it disables all functions in the Printers.  It has been further alleged that Canon is aware of the defect in the Printers, but has refused to recall or extend the warranty on the Printers.
