ConnectonCall.com, LLC Data Breach – Class Action Investigation
Chimicles Schwartz Kriner & Donaldson-Smith is investigating a potential class action relating to a data breach incident involving ConnectonCall.com, LLC (“ConnectonCall”), a company that provides healthcare providers a product allowing them to improve their after-hour call process for patients. The Company confirmed an estimated 914,318 individuals had their information taken in a data breach incident according to a filing with US Department of Health and Human Services.
What Happened at ConnectOnCall?
On or around May 12, 2024 , ConnectonCall discovered that an unauthorized user had gained access to its system. In response, the Company hired a third-party cybersecurity forensics agency to conduct a thorough investigation and ascertain the scope of the potential data security incident.
The investigation confirmed that the personally identifying information of an estimated 914,138 individuals was compromised including but not limited to: name, phone number, medical record numbers, date of birth, information related to health conditions, treatments, or prescriptions, and social security number.
