Colonial Pipeline Data Breach – Class Action Investigation

CSK&D is investigating a potential class action related to recent news of a ransomware attack on Colonial Pipeline that caused the Company to pull its 5,500 miles of pipelines offline. The outage could potentially affect nearly 50 million Americans, especially in the eastern portion of the country. As of Sunday, May 9, the Company has announced that it has put only a few smaller pipelines back online, and it remains to be determined when the other pipelines would be put back online. Depending on the duration of the outage, the outage could lead to fuel prices in some areas of the U.S. to increase above $3 a gallon.
