Cerebral Mental Health App – Class Action Investigation
CSK&D is investigating a potential class action case related to mental health app, Cerebral’s, deceptive business practices. Cerebral is a mental health/therapy app that will match you virtually with a therapist that matches certain criteria that you are looking for. The app allegedly will take your credit card information prior to showing you the therapists you are going to be matched with. Some consumers are getting charged by the company and then only getting matched with therapists or care counselors that do not match the criteria they need.
When asking for a refund since no therapists match the criteria, users are having to call and email multiple times just to be offered a 30% refund for their charge. Users are also having a hard time canceling their memberships as they allegedly have to fill out a form and email customer service at a certain time of day to be able to get the cancellation process started.
Memberships start at $99/month for therapy and $139/month for therapy and medication packages.
