Rental Car Damage Claims Investigation

Rental Car Damage Claims Investigation

Chimicles & Tikellis (“C&T”) is investigating potential class action claims against car rental companies that charge customers for damage to rental vehicles that never occurred, or that seek to impose inflated charges for minor damage. Consumers have reported that certain large chain car rental companies send letters days or weeks after a rental has expired claiming that the customer caused damage to the vehicle. When the customer denies that any damage occurred, the rental company persists in seeking to require the customer to pay. In addition, consumers have reported that the rental companies seek to recover inflated amounts for minor damage.

If a chain car rental company has sought to require you to pay for damage that you dispute occurred, or if the amount they sought to require you to pay appears excessive, we would be interested in hearing from you. Please contact us by filling out the “Email us about this Case” form, below.
