Bryant Thermostatic Expansion Valve (TXV) Defect Investigation

Bryant Thermostatic Expansion Valve (TXV) Defect Investigation

Chimicles & Tikellis is investigating possible class action claims involving an alleged defect in HVAC equipment manufactured by Bryant, which has resulted in widespread thermostatic expansion valve (TXV) failures in recently-manufactured air conditioning and heat pump systems. Reportedly, the problem stems from a chemical rust inhibitor used in the manufacturing process, which reacts with other chemicals in the systems and gums up the TXV.

C&T is investigating potential claims on behalf both contractors, who may not be fully compensated by the manufacturers for warranty work, as well as consumers who may be forced to pay out-of-pocket for repairs.

If you are a contractor or consumer who is affected by this defect, we would like to hear from you. Please contact the attorneys below.
