Bread Financial & Comenity Bank Credit Card Outage   – Class Action Investigation

Chimicles Schwartz Kriner Donaldson-Smith is investigating a potential class action related to news that credit cardholders for credit card accounts managed by Bread Financial, through its subsidiary Comenity Bank, have reported issues with being unable to access credit card accounts online or mobile app or use their credit cards. Comenity Bank manages credit cards for about 130 corporate partners including the NFL, Victoria’s Secrets, Ulta Beauty, Ikea, Sephora, Caesars’ Casinos, PlayStation Rewards, among other corporate partners.

The outage came as a result of a planned system update. Consumers have reported inability to access or use their credit card beginning as early as June 23, 2022. This outage also prevents cardholders from accessing rewards that are on their cards.

While the Company has stated that they plan to waive late fees for customers with payment due dates that fall anywhere between June 27- July 2, many consumers’ worries are not allayed by this, as many wonder about remedies for late fees for other type of scheduled payments or bills that cannot be processed, or late payments for payments made a few days before June 27, 2022.

If you are a cardholder of a credit card issued by Bread Financial & Comenity Bank that has become unusable during this outage, resulting in late fees or penalties, please fill-out the form provided below.
