Borgata Big Stack, No Limit Hold Em Tournament Compromise Investigation

Chimicles & Tikellis is investigating a potential class action lawsuit against the Borgata Hotel, Casino, and Spa related to its “Big Stack, No Limit Hold’ em” event during  its “Borgata Winter Poker Open” tournament during the week of January 12, 2014.  The Borgata represents that all of its open poker tournaments are fair and uncompromised events that give all participants a fair opportunity to win the prize money.  It has been alleged that the Big Stack event was rigged, with significant amounts of counterfeit poker chips being introduced into play.  It has been further alleged that after, after the event, the Borgata acknowledged its security and preventative measures were inadequate to prevent players from comprising the event.  Despite this knowledge, it has been alleged the Borgata has refused to reimburse the tournament participants entry fees and other related expenses.
