Chimicles Schwartz Kriner Donaldson-Smith is investigating a potential class action related to telehealth mental health company BetterHelp’s deceptive billing and autorenewal practices. BetterHelp is a telehealth service that will match potential clients with a therapist and provide counseling services. The service involves signing-up for a subscription that includes recurring payments charged even if no therapy appointments occur or service is even used.

Specifically consumer complaints have cited appointments with therapists being cancelled and/or the therapist assigned allegedly has no real experience in providing mental health therapy. When trying to cancel the service or request a refund, consumers find it difficult to get a response from customer service. Some have even reported continuing to be charged by BetterHelp even after cancelling their subscription.

If you signed-up for BetterHelp and experienced these issues, please contact the attorney(s) listed below.
