Audi Q8- “Drive System Malfunction” Potential Class Action Investigation

The law firm of Chimicles Schwartz Kriner & Donaldson-Smith is investigating a potential class action lawsuit on behalf of owners and lessees of the 2019 model year Audi Q8. It has been reported that this vehicle contains a design defect that causes it to display an error message called “Drive System: malfunction! Please contact Service.” This message, which will display when the vehicle is in motion, causes it to enter into a limp mode whereby the operator is cautioned not to have the engine exceed 2,500 RPM. This sudden inability to accelerate may create an unreasonable safety situation for the operator as well as for others on the road. The cause of the defect may be related to a fuel pump and/or the exhaust system.
