Ashley Furniture Peeling Leather and Failure to Honor Warranty – Class Action Investigation

Ashley Furniture Peeling Leather and Failure to Honor Warranty – Class Action Investigation

Chimicles & Tikellis LLP is investigating a potential class action lawsuit against home furnishings manufacturer and retailer Ashley Furniture (“Ashley”) in light of recent reports that leather furniture sold by Ashley peels and becomes ruined within a short time after purchase. Many consumers report very low quality with respect to Ashley’s leather furniture, including its leather couches, and that the furniture peels and becomes ruined even with normal use.

It is also reported that when consumers contact Ashley to seek repair or replacement of ruined or damaged furniture under Ashley’s warranty or a furniture protection plan, Ashley frequently refuses to honor its warranty. Some reports identify that Ashley tells consumers that peeling leather is not covered under its protection plans or warranties.

Ashely’s reported conduct may be in violation of state and federal consumer protection and warranty laws. If you have purchased furniture from Ashley Furniture and have had any of the above or similar experiences, please contact the lawyers listed below.
