Apple iPhone 12, iPhone 11, iPhone 8, and iPhone XS Performance Slowdown and Poor Battery Life – Class Action Investigation
Chimicles Schwartz Kriner & Donaldson-Smith LLP is investigating a potential class action lawsuit related to reports that users of Apple iPhone 12, iPhone 11, iPhone 8, and iPhone XS have experienced performance slowdowns and poorer battery life since upgrading to iOS 14.5 and beyond (i.e., “throttling” or “planned obsolescence”).
Based upon consumer feedback, iOS updates 14.5, 14.5.1 and 14.6 have significantly damaged consumers’ devices, slowing down performance drastically and causing the battery to run out faster. These updates were released beginning in April 2021.
If you own an Apple iPhone 12, iPhone 11, iPhone 8, or iPhone XS and have experienced reduced performance, such as slower processing speed or random shut downs, among other things, please contact the attorneys listed below by filling out the form provided.
