Advocate Aurora Health Data Breach – Class Action Investigation

CSK&D is investigating a data breach impacting Advocate Aurora Health, one of the largest health systems in the Chicago, IL area. According to a statement put out by Advocate Aurora Health, information encoded via pixels installed on patient portals, including MyChart and/or LiveWell websites/apps, may have been transmitted to the third-party vendors who provided the pixel technology.

It is reported that 3 million patients may have had their sensitive medical information compromised as result of the breach. The information compromised may have included: IP address, physical location, full name, and protected health information.
