Baxter Colleague Volumetric Infusion Pump Recall

Chimicles & Tikellis is investigating a potential class action lawsuit on behalf of purchasers of Colleague Volumetric Infusion Pumps (“Pumps”) manufactured or sold by Baxter. The Pumps are used to deliver medications and other fluids to patients through intravenous and other routes of administration. The FDA recently announced a recall program related to the Pumps after receiving a number of “serious adverse events.” The FDA’s recall program allows current Pump owners to receive a replacement pump or a limited cash rebate. C&T is investigating whether this resolution fails to adequately compensate current and former Pump owners by, among other things, failing to provide sufficient cash compensation and/or failing to account for Pump owners who no longer own their Pump(s).
